Theodore Roosevelt and the Single Tax

FREDERICK CYRUS LEUBUSCHER was a member of the old Free Trade Club in this city. Theodore Roosevelt was a fellow member. Mr. Leubuscher writes:

"While he was President I had occasion to call on him with a delegation at the White House, and he was kind enough to state that he remembered me when I reminded him of our association in the New York Free Trade Club. I told him that not only was I still a Free Trader but that I had gone on and was now a Single Taxer; and he replied that he was inclined that way himself."
