J. Anthony Coughlan

Mr. Coughlan has been a member of the Fairfax Virginia City Council since 1996. He chaired the City of Fairfax Taxation Task Force. The Task Force produced a report, approved by the City Council, recommending a tax structure for Fairfax to serve as a model for Virginia. The report has been presented to the Virginia Commission on State and Local Tax Structure.

Mr. Coughlan works in Washington D.C. as a Washington Tax Service Manager for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, specializing in high technology tax topics, such as the research credit and taxation of electronic commerce. He holds a Master of Laws in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center.
